There are times in life when it's fine to do your own thing. But, when it comes to your pre-workout supplement, you're probably better off following the directions.
So how much pre-workout should you take? If you're taking Ladder Pre-Workout, it's easy. The back panel on every container tells you exactly how much to take, how often, and when.
Plan to drink Ladder Pre-Workout about 30 minutes before you exercise so it's ready when you need it during your workout. Mix 1 level scoop with 8 ounces of water to assess your tolerance. It's that simple.
“The ingredients in Ladder Pre-Workout weren't selected at random or because they're trendy — they were included because they all offer performance-enhancing benefits that are backed by science," explains Trevor Thieme, CSCS, fitness and nutrition content director at Openfit.*

Ladder Pre-Workout contains beta-alanine, an amino acid that plays a role in muscle endurance during hard workouts.*
But there's something else: “For some people, beta-alanine excites sensory neurons in the skin, causing a slight tingling sensation that is temporary," says Thieme.
After you assess your tolerance for Ladder Pre-Workout by taking 1/2 a scoop, you can increase that to 1 scoop. If you find you have a sensitivity to caffeine, or do not enjoy the tingling feeling associated with beta-alanine, reduce your dosage.
